What’s the Cheapest F1 Grand Prix to Visit in 2023 Season?
The upcoming 2023 season is all that F1 fans can think about with the countdown already on for the season opening race in Bahrain on Sunday 5th March. We have taken a look through the upcoming season to see which is the cheapest one to visit and what tickets are still available.
2023 F1 Season – Dates and Ticket Prices
All ticket prices and availability are as the time of writing and according to Formula1.com.
Bahrain: 2-5th March
The cheapest ticket for the three day package from Friday – Sunday is £155.48 ($187.04) which is on the Victory Grand Stand. If you wanted to sit in the Main Grandstand the prices increase to £381.79 ($459.29).
Saudi Arabia: 16-19th March
Saudi Arabia has the cheapest tickets available for the Friday – Sunday package, however, we strongly recommend considering travel and hotel costs. For general admission tickets it is £101.54 ($122.15) and to sit in the Main Grandstand the tickets are £402.24 ($483.89).
Australia: 30th March – 2nd April
Three day grandstand tickets for the Australian Grand Prix have now sold out. However, if you are willing and able to splash some cash then they do still have Friday – Sunday tickets available in The Lounge which come with a price tag of £2505.80 ($3014.46).
Azerbaijan: 27-30th April
Azerbaijan is another race weekend that offers roaming tickets which are a cheaper alternative. Friday-Sunday tickets go from £159.80 ($192.24) and then go up to £634.87 ($763.75) for tickets in the Absheron C Grandstand which is opposite the start/finish straight.
Miami: 4-7th May
Miami is one of the newest additions on the F1 calendar and from the 2022 event we could see it had a lot more going on than the racing, so it is not a surprise this is one of the more expensive races to go to.
Tickets are going for £1511.59 ($1818.44) for Friday – Sunday in the Turn 18 Grandstand and go up to £1934.83 ($2327.59) for the Start/Finish Grandstand.
Emilia Romagna: 18-21st May
According to the Formula 1 website, the Emilia Romagna tickets are not on sale yet so no prices have been released.
Monaco: 25-28th May
Unfortunately, the majority of the tickets for the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix are now sold out, so this is definitely not going to win the spot for the cheapest race to visit. As per the Formula 1 website, tickets for Friday – Sunday in the Silver VIP Terraces are going for £2772.98 ($3335.88).
Spain: 1st – 4th June
For anyone based in Europe or the UK, Spain might be one of the best options to go for. General admission tickets for Friday – Sunday are £173.75 ($209.02) and increase to £535.83 ($644.60) for seats in Grandstand F which is at the first corner.
Canada: 15-18th June
According to the Formula 1 website, all tickets for the Canadian Grand Prix have now sold out.
Austria: 29th June – 2nd July
According to the Formula 1 website, all tickets for the Austrian Grand Prix have now sold out.
Britain: 6-9th July
The majority of the tickets for the British Grand Prix have also sold out, the only Friday -Sunday tickets that are still available are for the Ignition Club so come with a hefty price tag of £3651.55 ($4392.80).
Hungary: 20th-23rd July
The only Friday – Sunday tickets that are still available are in the F1 Fan Lounge, so are not going to be the cheapest to go for. These come in at £1479.22 ($1779.49). Alternatively, if you wanted to go to soak up some of the atmosphere but not see the Grand Prix on the Sunday, there are Saturday tickets in the Grandstands for £110.39 ($132.80).
Belgium: 27-30th July
Friday – Sunday tickets for the Belgium Grand Prix, in the Silver 6 Grandstand are being sold for £406.23 ($488.69).
Netherlands: 24-27th August
There are still tickets available for Friday – Sunday in Grandstand 2a for £485.71 ($584.31).
Italy: 31st August – 3rd September
According to the Formula 1 website, the Italy GP tickets are not on sale yet so no prices have been released.
Singapore: 14-17th September
Singapore have a few ticket options, the cheapest being a ‘Walkabout’ ticket for Zone 4 which is like general admission. These are available for £221.82 ($266.85). Looking at the Empress Grandstand tickets to be able to have a reserved seat, the prices are £443.63 ($533.68).
Japan: 21st-24th September
According to the Formula 1 website, the Japan GP tickets are not on sale yet so no prices have been released.
Qatar: 5-8th October
According to the Formula 1 website, the Qatar GP tickets are not on sale yet so no prices have been released.
Austin: 19th-22nd October
Austin is not one of the cheapest to go for when you look at the ticket prices, however, if you are based in the US and don’t want to spend loads of flights to get over to some of the cheaper ones, this might be a good option. Friday – Sunday tickets in the Turn 4 Grandstand are currently being sold for £1153.13 ($1387.21).
Mexico: 26-29th October
Slightly cheaper than Austin, Friday – Sunday tickets for the Mexico GP in Grandstand 6 are available for £837.86 ($1007.94).
Brazil: 2nd-5th November
According to the Formula 1 website, the Brazil GP tickets are not on sale yet so no prices have been released.
Las Vegas: 16-19th November
Vegas is one of the new additions for the 2023 season and is set to be a huge event, so there is no surprise that Grandstand tickets have already sold out. There are Friday – Sunday hospitality tickets available but for £6910.11 ($8312.83).
Abu Dhabi: 23rd-26th November
Bringing the 2023 season to a close will be the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. There are still tickets available in the South Grandstand which are available for £561.45 ($675.42).
